SC Series 1 probably '75 or '76 needs Alembic bridge and tail piece restored, but looks nice (looks like top is "The Zebrawood")

Nice looking, too bad about the bridge. Looks like "the wood" as used in 1976 on several instruments.
-
Yeah I agree, I'd need to know what is under that bridge so I could determine if it was going to be expensive to restore it with an alembic bridge and tone block.
-
It is the "Zebrawood" Jazzy.
I have the sister bass to this with the Koa in the front and zebra on the back.
Almost like looking in a mirror!
My bass built 1975
Questions I would ask: Not sure what's going on with the strap pin on the back? The bridge? The neck joint? And there was a question about the Japan listings lately?
Good luck!

This one is priced pretty reasonably as far as the "Japan listings" go, top is beautiful but based on the origin, mods and price the red flags fly are flying.

There appears to be some stress cracking in the finish around the scarf joint. It might be nothing but it could also indicate a problem. I would ask for lots of pictures before bidding on this one and if possible see if someone locally could inspect it in person.
