Post by: jazzyvee on August 01, 2016, 11:18:34 AM
We've had alembics on the sofa and also on stage how about some that have been taken in their ancestral home .... nature.

Some great pictures in there Elwoodblue. I have been to the states many times but never had the opportunity to walk off road into the countryside. Maybe next time I'm over there I will take a trip off road.

I'll get some shots of my Exploiter in the forest behind my house.
(you realize that's a link to O-lympics?  ;D )

The Ranch is a pretty natural environment - works with LOTS of Alembics!

I don't have any recent pictures, but here's one I took of of my Persuader 5 last summer, against the backdrop of a giant poplar tree. That poplar tree is a very popular spot for spoken vows at a nearby wedding venue. (and nobody gets the irony like I do...  8) )

Here's my Series II out in front of the house.

(The shiny thing at the bottom center is the house.)

Just got back from a weekend of camping and music... for the past 7 years, we've been the host band at this mountain campground on Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends. It's not very far from home, but Lithia, Virginia is one of my favorite places to hideout with my friends and play some music.

This little spring-fed pond near our camp seemed like a good place to pose the Distillate.  :D

To keep the Direwolf bridge looking that shiny (it's just polished brass in the photo above)  I gold plated it yesterday. Just put it back on now. Looks good.
I need more chemicals to do the bridge block and tailpiece to get it all the same. As you can see, the brass is more yellow than the gold - and no, the intonation is not properly set yet.

(edit - I did the nut as well to match the peghead Alembic logo which was already gold)
