I have my tickets to see Stanley at this festival on Saturday 2nd July and and am really looking forward to seeing him play live again. I would love to to meet him as other times when there seemed to be an opportunity it hasn't happened. So my question is, does anyone here have the ear of the great man and/or his tour manager and can pull some strings so I get to meet him. If I know it's gonna happen I can take the backplate from my bass for him to sign as well.
I know it's a long shot but, nothing ventured nothing gained.

I saw Stanley (and Victor) play in Milwaukee in 2011. It was a small venue and they did a meet and greet afterwards, had my back plate and a sharpie with me. Got it signed.
It is easy enough to bring your back plate and if the opportunity arises . . . .
Only bad thing is; after Stan and Vic signed it I went and saw Mike Watt, he signed it, but there was so much perspiration on his forearm (that guy gives it his all) that it smudged Stanley's signature. :o

last time I was at a Stanley gig with Jazzyvee, Stan didn't seem to be in the best of moods - didn't play an encore, didn't play Schooldays !!! AND ran out of the venue before anyone had a chance to engage with him. IIRC, jazzy had his backplate along with him on that occasion too.

When my wife and I saw Return to forever a couple of years ago
he pretty much ran off stage also. I tried to make contact through
his fan page but nothing came of it either. I'm not sure if meet and greet
tickets were sold for that gig but if folks are paying extra for that privilege
I can understand.
Good luck with it.

When i was shaking his hand i thought about all the great music that these hands have created.
So now i have met both of my bass heros. Aston Barrett and Stanley clarke.
