Title: 1978 Alembic Series I for sale [SOLD]
Post by: Goldenrod on June 17, 2016, 08:32:49 PM
$5700 obo   s/n 78-1233,   34" scale Series 1 with Original Hardshell Case, DS-5 Power Supply, 20 foot 5 pin cable, and Onboard PF-6 electronics. Excellent condition for their age with minimal signs of use. The frets have been replaced with original style brass by the professionals at Atomic Guitars in Phoenix. The Woods; Top and Back are  Padouk with a Mahogany core. Neck is Maple and Purple Heart with an Ebony fingerboard and Mother of Pearl inlays. It is simply time for a new phase in my playing story. Now you can begin your own chapter with this fine piece of Artisan Craftsmanship.

I will add pics on next post...

Brass frets?  Never heard of that.

This stuff http://www.lmii.com/products/mostly-not-wood/fretting/fretwire/gold-evo-fretwire looks a lot like brass.

If it's been re-fretted with Evo wire, I would consider that a bonus. It's extremely hard stuff. (I re-fretted my Gibson F-5 with it, to match the gold hardware)

Sorry for the confusion. The FRETS are MADE of NICKEL and are brass colored.
