Hi to everybody!
Just a quick posting to question how many Dragon wings have now been produced. I took a look at the Bass Centre website, and they have a 'John Entwistle Dragon Wing' for sale at ?9995 (if I can remember from 5 minutes ago!).
Looking at it, it had Series I electronics and a sweeeet quilted maple top. All I can say is yum!
I assume the fact they called it a JE DW means it is nearer to what would have been John's specs, although I thought he ordered only SIIs direct, and picked up the SIs during his spare time.
Ben
PS - Have started a new job this week, hopefully my first Alembic is a bit closer to arriving at my house! I've been promising myself one for so long and WILL get one someday

Hello Ben,
to date 4 Dragon Wings have been built. The one in the UK is the only quilted maple one, the others are all coco bolo. It does not have series electronics, but signature with a 'fake' hum canceler in the middle. I believe that's the only one available for sale at the moment.

Cheers Valentino,
Does the fact it is a 'fake' hum canceller mean it is capable of being upgraded to a Series-equipped bass later, or is it just a genuine hum canceller installed for looks alone?

That's actually a good question, since I have a dummy hum canceller on my Spyder. If I should decide to upgrade to Series, would my hum canceller actually function?
