Check this guy's music out! I got the album 'It's Better This Way' last week, and it's not only true solo bass extravaganza, but also very beautiful music for every occasion. The technique, tone and creativity  this young gifted Alembic enthousiast displays is truly amazing! The Tripster has one of the most beautiful and impressive Alembic basses http://www.alembic.com/info/fc_trip.html specially built for him, and he definitely knows how to use it!

Off course 'Ocean Blue' is featured on the album, alongside fretless Orions, a fretted Epic and a few non-Alembics. He has also recently discovered the endless joy of the (un)holy Alembic/Glockenklang alliance. Do yourself a favour, buy his CD, it might just be the best bass-oriented music you've ever heard. Trip Wamsley deserves a thundering 'heads up!' in the Alembic Club!

What in the.....it's an Alembic Oceanliner.  The only other person I thought played that many strings was Melvin Lee Davis, and he's a seven-string bass player.

Hey dgcarbu,

There are quite a few multi-stringers out there:

Here's Al Caldwell with his 9 & 11-stringer:

Stewart McKinsey with his 10-stringer:

And there are quite a few others who are all doing some very interesting stuff. I certainly do enjoy listening and watching Trip play.
