Title: EBS and Alembic
Post by: dubalbal on March 27, 2005, 10:38:30 PM
Hi Alembifriends ,

I would like to share my  total satisfaction of the rig i bought a few month ago . It's all EBS : Fafner head 600w + 2 4x10 h cabs. It sounds really fantastic ; you can almost have all the sounds you want . Fafner head is really simple to use and has a range of sounds that went far beyond my expectations... the signal goes thru a tube , so u can have a warm , crunchy and very clear sound .You also have an overdrive that is so amazing !  Even when the settings are messed up , you have a good sound ! The cab 4x10 h gives a clear and bright sound with deepness too ; due to the fact that there is a horn , the settings for the 2 cabs are different : i put more  bass  in the cab that stays on the floor and more  brightness  in the upper one .

Of course you won't need extra power , this is a 600 w ( full ) head and the cabs can hold 1200 togheter...it's the most powerful rig i've experienced in that category .Before i made my choice , i tried eden , ampeg , glock and swr ...sorry , no hartke...Ampeg and eden were exceptional too , i just found that ebs had this  little something  that pleased me ..

Well , i hope it can help a little in the decision that some of us could have to take for their new rig .

Have a nice time playing the best basses the world knows !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never have.  I haven't really been thinking about changing my cabs, except that the thing that's been in the back of my mind recently is an ELF.
