Title: Tab for joni mitchell's "Coyote"-anybody know where I can find??
Post by: Googe Endeveronte (goooge) on September 13, 2002, 06:09:31 PM
Subject says it all-tried the bass/guitar tab sites we are all familiar with-no luck
also- did Jaco ever use a chorus effect??(i assume this is him on that track)My bass buddies have been turning me on to players I am not very familiar with-I am suddenly more accepting of jazz than when I was younger-I am suddenly finding out I was missing a lot by not opening my ears-I can't get this song out of my head. any help appreciated.

Hi Googe, To the best of my recollection, Jaco used an long dicontinued effect box known as an MXR digital delay, set to a very short delay time (probably around 30 to 50 milliseconds) to simulate a chorusing sound. The MXR was one of the early affordable delay units on the market at that time. He may have used other things in the studio but I have no info on that. Mike

-I think I know the one-The blue rack mount one if we are talking the same effect-I believe Pat Metheny used/uses one as well
I was wondering cause he makes some of the notes just growl like nuts-it sounds like there is something there-but wasnt sure-thanks Mike!!
