Well ...that's a joke.
Over here in EU, when we see something o television about thanksgiving we see US people eating gigantic quantities of food on looo-ong table with A LOT of people.
So ...be carefull over there!
Be smart when you eat and think about your health!
Anyway ...may I wish all the american brothers and sisters of this heavenly garden of the uppermost fine species of the lower frequencied kind a fully given tanks ...huh ...a tankfull of giving ....no ....huh ... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
We love you all!!
Paul the bad one
PS: okay and don't be shy ...tell us about the kitchen secrets. What wil be on the table? Where are the fine recepies?? Who will invent the Alembic pastry???

Ah Brother Paul!!!!
I will be making some of my famous Greek garlic dip that you made a while back. I will also be making a couple of trays of spanicopita (spinach pie made with feta cheese, filo dough, and butter.) Guaranteed to put a couple of more inches between you and Bonnie!!!! HA
And of course the usual turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, squash etc.
Let's not forget about a nice cold beer to wash it down with.
Sorry Elzie, I don't think I can make it over this time but we will get together sometime!!!
Paul, I will email you the recipe if you like.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Paul, I think you've seeing some old family movies of mine !
For the past five years or so we've traveled to my mother-in-law's house to celebrate. Now, she's getting up there, 70+, and doesn't cook as well as she did when I first met her,13 years ago. I'm picturing her now, standing before her over-stuffed, industrial sized freezer of long expired food stuffs, carefully planning and selecting the morrow's feast. I don't know what will be on the table. I do know the kids will hit me with their bale stare Daddy, do we have to?. Yes, a bit. Because the food isn't what's important. So, my wife and I will share a secret chuckle or three, the kids will get over it, and mom will be happy to have a houseful of family, even just for the weekend.
Honestly, when she asked what we wanted for dinner, we said, dinner reservations. But she's not having any of that.
So, Paul I don't know what we're eating, but I do know what we're having and that's a great time. And if Paul TGO gets on here a boasts about his fare, he may have more company than he can handle.
Although I could go for an ice cold pilsner or two and some fun with the kids and be as content as a man can be.
Happy holidays everyone and count your blessings.
Mike

Dino, that dip sounds great! My kitchen secrets, Paul? I sit back and let my wife and mother in law spoil me rotten. After we eat they'll sit and do family gossip and I'll go massacre some Bach with my Epic.
Thanks for the good wishes. The bad thing about Thanksgiving is that it signals the end of college football season.

Well ...you guys know where to look for my e-mail adress. All recepies are welcome. What do you eat? Drink? I'm really interested.
Oh yeah ... that football thing!
That's something I forgot: in the Stereotype US-thanksgiving soap/film scenes: wifes gossiping, men lookin' football, with bottle of beers.
And again something weird: all bottles have a screw-lid/cork (i don't know the word in US-lingo). I always see people opening a bottle Screwing of the tap. Even small botlles. Here a beerbotlle has a cap. Wine a cork. Funny how small things differ.
I also like differences it make sthe world richer!

...how bout them SOONERS 12 and 0, USC beware ??!?!?!?!?!
What does this mean David?
Something for LOUD thanksgivers???
-
Paul (TBO),
The Sooners are the Oklahoma college football team (American football). 12-0 is a perfect record for the year, and USC would be the University of Southern California
Mike
P.S. Happy T-Day everybody in the club and the Alembic family.

thanks Mike, sometimes the world is bigger than I think, I thought everybody knew who the Sooners were, sorry Paul and yes Sooner football can get loud.
