Title: My Trip to Alembic- or come find your bass
Post by: flaxattack on October 30, 2005, 09:09:55 AM: what a great time bill and i had at alembic last friday. he val and i saw phil at bimbos the night before. As usual susan and the gang were just so accomodating. susan and i got a lot of work done on the tribute bass design and cats under the stars logo.
After we were done at alembic, Bill put together a jam at his studio and a good time was had by all.. be it brief...we kicked out some good tunes
including a rockin/bluesified johnny b goode, that i might try with my band....thanks bill!

Hi Gary, if you look in Jeff's post (#648) above, you can actually see your bass at the bottom on the right. Hard to see the stripes on the Zebrawood, but it's your baby.

He purchased it at a pawn shop for a very low price and has had it ever since. I use to play that bass many years ago which made me want it even more. Now I am just glad to see that he still has it after all these years since we have just reconnected our friendship.

Valentino, thank you for pointing her out. It looks like she is enjoying her trip home. I am going to send you a few additional ideas I am considering getting done while she is there. BTW, love the look of your new guitar.

Post by: dela217 on November 01, 2005, 02:02:19 PM: It's good to be back. I guess things are ok. I have had to catch up on lots of reading while I was away. I was without the internet for a while, so I had to play catch up at some sort of internet/gamers cafe. It was very strange. The room was full of kids with headphones and microphones and they were talking to each other while playing some kinda game. I have never seen anything like it. I guess I am getting old. There was also some other sort of game where people were playing a game while dancing. I can't explain it. I think I'll just stick to bass.
