Anybody ever done VU-metering LEDs on the fingerboard? A post in another thread got me thinking of this. Have them display the pre-electronics levels, so that they light even when playing softly, or have it switchable. I think it would look way cool. Man oh man, I wish I'd win the lottery, then I could afford more of this stuff.. And Happy New Year everybody!!

I guess this is a wild idea, but I would like to see the side LED's work as an instrument tuner too. THAT would be cool.

Mattheus,
Very cool. I would love to see that. The British guy wouldn't be Andy of Andy's Guitar Shop in Soho (27 Denmark Street), would it? I visited his basement shop and got to play some of his basses in '79, and they were really nice. He borrowed a lot of ideas from Alembic. He did JPJ's setup work at the time, so he had easy access to many of Alembic's latest goodies..
