Well, here we go folks.I get to have my gall bladder removed at 9:00 am tomorrow. The most invasive medical procedure performed on me before this was a prostate exam, yikes.Thats right folks, after 40 you get it up the ol' wazzoo every year if you are a male gender wise.I'll just prop up the purpleheart Rogue 5 on a stand and point it toward my bed where I can see it and I know it will inspire me to a speedy recovery.I should only be down a few day's and as soon as I am able,I will file a post op. report.
Keep yer fingers crossed for me(if you can pry em' off your Alembics long enough).

Brother Dave,
one of the most pampering sounds in the world are ...low frequencies. Ask Brother Paul the fake one when he gave birth -oh ...huh ...that's not good anyway ...you know- to his last born child. Most preferebly from an upright playing Bach Etudes.
I don't have an upright right now, as I ma not at your bedside, but there will be a lot of low frquencies sounding these days for your comfort and in your support.
I'll add mine.

Hi Dave, I had that done a couple of years ago. Nothing to it. I was back at work in a week's time.
One word of advice, don't watch funny shows on TV while recovering. I saw something that just cracked me up and it hurt so bad but I couldn't stop laughing. I was doubled over pointing at the TV going OWWWW HAHAHA OWWWW.
Good luck

Hope you get through with minimal discomfort and feel better soon!

Good luck Dave and a speedy recovery.
Take Sam's advice and don't watch TV. Bring along one the books by the Democratic presidential candidates. I'm sure there's nothing funny in them and it will help you get some extra sleep!

Hey Dave,
Get well soon!!!!
Like Brother Paul TBO said, I'll play some Bach etudes in your honor. Maybe you'll be able to feel them.
Peace,
Dino

Well I guess Dave's had his surgery by now. Sounds pretty serious to me, but Sam says he's had the same thing done and that there is nothing to it. So Dave, I hope the surgery was successful and that your recovery is going well.

I'm chiming in late too (sorry, Dave) but to back up what Sam said, my wife had her's out and she was back up and going in no time.
Get well quickly, your Rogue is going to miss you!

Maybe nothing to it was just a bit cavalier but it was a one day thing. I was back home that same evening.
Dave, this prelude's for you.

Whoops,my mental state being what it is made me post the same thing a couple of times. But I mean every word of it.Maybe I should cut back on the vico's eh'?All's well in la la land.Wheeeee.

Good to hear from you Dave, I'm glad it went well. Take it easy and don't push.

Remember, Dave, That's ONE pill every FOUR Hours, NOT four every one hour...

Best wishes Dave!
Keep an Alembic close at hand- kinda the way the sight of Moses led the Israelites across the parted Red Sea (as portayed by Hollywood), your bass will lead you to a quick recovery!
....yeah, I know that was weird.

Just an update for all the good Alembic people. It's been 6 days since the procedure and I feel great.I'm off the vico's and I'm making a quick recovery.Yup,healing up rather nicely. They told me not to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for a month but the day after the surgery,I had my hands on the Rogue 5.Trying to seperate me from my Rogue is like coming between a starving dog and his meat. Not a good idea.
