I guess I just pay more attention to username familiarization and/or their date of registration. The membership classification doesn't really mean anything to me. I've been around since October of 2002, and I also was a member of the original Yahoo group, but I don't post that often, so I guess I'm doomed to be a junior until my demise. :-)

New: 0
Junior: 10
Member: 50
Intermediate Member: 100
Advanced Member: 200
Senior Member: 400

We had a discussion about it a year ago, but I'm still trying to decide on the names. It can only be triggered by number of posts, and any suggestions are welcomed.

My suggestions are:

Member: 0
Occasional Contributor: 10
Intermediate Contributor: 50
Regular Contributor: 100
Advanced Contributor: 200
Senior Conributor: 400

That way your membership to the Club is granted as soon as you register regardless of the number of your posts. Later on, depending on how actively you become involved, you can earn various degrees of the title Contributor.

This scheme also avoids the word Junior which (as we have seen) can potentially offend or irritate people.

I don't feel very important, anluy a big white one big a big mouth and not always having something senseful to say. I didn't lived though the Yahoo period -yeah ...I missed al that fun- but have 1000. I know some people here who are the most silent people I ever know but as soon as they open there mouth it is printing time.
I suggest we forget about the postnumbers. I don't know what it serves. We all proved as Alembic-players to be open minded, eager to learn, and respectfull against every opinion. See for yourself: our beloved moders Val en Mica are complete out of work modering: Val isa testing basses in the company Mica is running. LOL

Another good idea might be to add a first name next to the login. Other than that, let's keep this forum simple and graceful, not loaded with icons and emoticons and who-knows-what-else.

I don't own this bass (alas) but I had the occasion to play it for 1 hour in Edwins shop. Veeeeeeeery smooth and beautiful sounding.
Well made. It IS and STAYS a favourite of mine. Now you have to understand I like many basses. I have that problem with woman too which is far worse ... as a problem!
