Title: Alembic Serial #49
Post by: hankster on June 12, 2004, 03:38:47 AM
A few weeks ago a guitar purporting to be an early short scale Series 1 - serial #49 - appeared on Ebay.  It had tan pickup covers and the tuning heads weren't stock (they were Grovers i think).  It was in great shape and the price was $2000.00 U.S.  Nobody bid on it at all, though the price was great.  Does anybody know why?  Was it a fake?

Do you have a link to the auction so we can check it out. I have found that sometimes on eBay that it just matters who is looking week to week. I bought a Guild acoustic bass for 600.00 with the intention of reselling it and making a profit. I listed it one week and it only went up to 350.00. I listed it the next week and it sold for 1000.00. I think it just matters who is in the market at the time.
