How many peoples here playing in original bands? and what style of music is it you are playing? also is there any female ALEMBICANS out there?
-
I play in a mostly cover band for the $$$ but we're in the studio recording our 1st original disk. The music influences range from Kings X to King Crimson ... pretty intense. Lots of twist and turns and lots of lush harmonies. We play 3 or 4 originals a night while doing covers and they always go over big time. I'm pretty excited about it. The band is called One Fine Mess and we're out of the northern Boston area USA.

Hi everybody!!! I'm a new, proud owner of a 1976 series 1. Also new to the club.

Congratulations Darrell and welcome to the group! I was looking at that '76; it's very nice. I sent an email to the seller as soon as I saw it listed, but I never heard back from him. (I think my ISP has been losing some of my messages.) The bass appears to be well cared for; enjoy!

Here are three bands I work for that play mostly original music and I just got out of the studio with Indy car driver Kenny Brack today after recording two originals with him.I used my 03'purpleheart Rogue 5 with Kenny's band and raised eyebrows from the studio staff with the tremendous tone I get from my bass.Tomorrow I will use my trusty 94'Epic 4 to record another song with Kenny.Don Pedigo has songs for download from his web site that I used the Rogue on if anybody wants to lend an ear to.Let me know what you think if you do.

I'm playing in this Cover Band for 20 years:
www.united-beat-band.de (http://www.united-beat-band.de)
We're playing lots of that Beat area and Rock'n Roll Hits from the 60's and 70's. Yes, those were the days.
Beside I'm in an project with two basses, drums, trombone and Chapman Stick (which I'm playing).

My band's music can be found here:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/4/mpgmusic.htm (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/4/mpgmusic.htm)
We're sort of hard-edged progressive rock, influenced by the likes of Rush, Newer Yes, etc.
