Title: Reverse exploiter
Post by: dnburgess on July 02, 2004, 08:48:50 PM
Looking at pictures of Exploiters, Explorers and Thunderbirds in Bass Culture I wondered why they are designed with the long horn at the bottom. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the long horn at the top? This would make for better balance with the strap attached to the tip of the horn. Also would provide easier access to high fret positions.

I think Gibson was going for the upside down look with the Thunderbird similar to the reverse body Firebird.  The only one I've played was in my lap so I don't know about the balance but they look great.
