Monday night Valentino got word that his mother passed away. He immediately arranged to return home to Italy and he'll be there for about three weeks.
If you want to send a personal message to him, please write to valvil_at_aol_dot_com. For the time being his alembic email is being forwarded to Susan.

Losing a loved one is a horrible thing. Losing a parent is even worse...
I emailed Valentino this morning offering my condolences. There are no words that can be said to ease the pain but just knowing that you've got friends and loved ones all around can help the healing process.
Peace,
Dino

Hi Val,
I would like to offer my condolences to you and your family in this sad time. Losing my son and my mother...I can imagine some of the emotions you are dealing with. This is definitely a time to be with your family and friends so you can mourn together...but also to celebrate the life of the lost loved one.

My sincere condolences Val.

My sincerest condolences as well.
Sadly, I know that pain too. You can only learn to live with it and move on with your life. The comfort you find will be in the knowledge that she's resting, and in the support of your family and friends.

Val,
My condolences to you and your family. I know the feeling, having lost my mother this past May. To be half a world away must be something else~ but keep your chin up! I'm sure everyone here would agree from our day to day dealings that your mother did an excellent job bringing you into this world.

Hello my friends,
I am back from Italy and back to work, and just had the chance to read the messages of support from you all, both here on the club and in my mailbox at home.
Thank you very much on behalf of my family and myself; these are not easy times, but knowing that there are folks like you out there makes it a lot easier to bear.
My mother had not been doing well for a few years now, and had little to look forward to; I do believe she is in a better place, and that she is happier now; it's the rest of us that are poorer without her company.
Once again thank you all.

Welcome back Val!

Val,
Welcome home! It's nice to have my wing man back in action! I told Susan that yours is the only voice I can recognize when I call the shop. I haven't guessed right with Mica, Susan, Mary, or anyone else for that matter answering the phone, since you left. Talk soon.
Regards,
Jonathan
