Was wandering through ebay and did a search for dead dvds..no particular reason,.,,i have plenty....just killin time...
i stumble across....
Grateful Dead-  copenhagen 4/17/72
being sold out of italy....

a great look back at the dead... excellent editing and directing. lots of phil wailing on big brown and never too long on one shot...
it is in stereo and for a video that 30 yrs old,,,
damn fine remaster...
this is the show they donned the clown hats for if you look at europe 72
not the complete show. bout 1.5 hours but for me maybe the best_ this is what is was like dvd for that era....

This appears to be pretty rare!!  It looks like the clown hat pictures are indoors; is that right?

Kevin; I haven't been able to find it.  Based upon my initial cursory search, my guess is that it was not supposed to be released.  I guess we'll have to go to Jeff's house to see it.  I'll bring some chips.
 
I did find that several of these were sold on Ebay; though there are no current listings.  The listings all looked the same; but there were a couple different sellers.  Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/GRATEFUL-DEAD-RARE-DVD-TIVOLIS-KONCERTSAL-1972_W0QQitemZ6458544800QQcategoryZ59009QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) is one of the past listings.  I suppose you could email the seller to see if they have any more; or save the search terms and watch for a new listing.

yes the clown hats were brought out on stage after some of the crew starting donning fright masks- one was tossed to billy- it had sort of an elephant snout on it and billy startied stroking it-
the show is from the tivoli gardens./...  this place was small.......
brought back some flashbacks to my first show
stanley theatre jersey 9/28/72
the tie dye amps covers esp.
yup bozos vs bolos....
and needless to say- pigpen is a joy to watch...
and there is some decent banter between the boys.
i will contact my seller and see if he has more...

i have spoken to the ebaye and he is offering me 10...
the price would be $35 incl shipping to me and to youze......
so i am asking for some kind of commitment from you nice people first....
we will do this through paypal......preferably...
or postal money order. am not gonna waste time with personal checks

i assume there is additional postage from italy and my postage to you of course
my total cost on the one i bought was 25+ shipping so its not so bad......
