I have several of my guitars hanging on the wall in my den at home. The other day, I was holding up my 11 month old son in front of a particular pair. I said, Noah, I'm going to tell you two of the most important things in life you'll ever need to know...
This is a Les Paul...and this is a Stratocaster.
He smiled and then reached out to pluck the strings.

That means he wants to be a Bass player!......go alembic shopping?

Jonathan:
The critical question is: Which did he reach for, the Fender or the Gibson? That is truly the most accurate indicator of future personality! LOL! Hope you and yours are enjoying a great holiday.

Bill,
My little guy reached straight for the Les Paul. Apparently, he's more of a humbucker kind of guy, just like his old man!

my dog leaves the room as soon as i pick up a bass....i plugged in and she ran upstairs
now its any bass,,,,
even if i dont plug in....
maybe i should get a BASSett hound
my cats still hang out though
guess bass is cool for cats....

Hey Flax, I'm right with you. Both of my dogs leave the room when I pick up the case; the same reaction like when I take out the grooming table. But both cats can't wait to curl-up inside the case; go figure!

We have a pair of Australian Water Dragons, (similar to Iguana's but smaller, named Puff & Norbert), that come right to the front of the cage and watch intently whenever my wife messes around on her drums!
Jeff:
I suspect you are using only steel string basses. Your felines might take it a little more personally if you played an acoustic bass strung with cat gut! lmao
