Title: Is this Alembic Fretless for real ?

is it the real thing ? I havent contacted the seller to get a serial number.

It sure looks like an Epic, and the serial number is provided on the click through, 96W9704, which is not on our stolen list. I'm no expert in used values, but it sure looks like a steal.

I'm not sure what you're asking; but the bass in the picture is an Alembic Epic as described in the text.  It's hard to tell much from the pictures, but the rear shot looks to be a really nice looking Mahogany body.  It doesn't really look like Mahogany; but I would imagine that it is.

The mahogany back does look a lot like the one on my 94 Epic - nice grain, nice colour streaks.
 
A high-gloss finish has a very different effect on the mahogany than a PU satin finish - personally, I prefer the satin finish.
