Any NYC dudes going to this?  Friday night at Coda, 34th/Madison.
 
Some other local jazz/funk bands, Asterisk, Dynamic Stew also playing.

I had free tix for last night's (Wed) performance at the Starland, but I was a little too tired to go.

Any tips from NYC experts on what's cookin' this Friday and/or Saturday night (preferably fusion or jazz rock; anything groovy is fine though)?

I'm not an NYC expert, but I would recommend Michael Wolff this Saturday at the Blue Note.

Just kidding.  Down around the Blue Note there's a bunch of clubs with music, kind of hit or miss.  Pick up a Time Out NY or Village Voice.
 
Have a good time.  I'm gonna be out of town but if I was here I'd see my buddy's punk band World War IX at Rocky's in Williamsburg,  Kent Ave. and South 4th.

I played at Coda back in Feb.... After reading several horrible reviews online (not enough beautiful people, rude staff, $teep drinks, etc etc) I was skeptical as to what we were getting ourselves into..... Turns out everyone had a great time!!
