Title: I quit
Post by: applejuice on July 20, 2006, 07:12:32 AM
Yesterday, I left the band that I have been playing with since I was 8. We were in CT, and the directors were treating my brother like crap. I had told them to stop or I would leave because it was really bothering me. I guess they thought I wasn't serious, but I left and went home.

One director called my parents to say that they want me back to play this weekend, like hell I will go back.

Hey Joe,

Not every relationship can stand the test of time and I have no doubt that it felt good to walk out (been there, done that, got the t-shirt).  I have but one question if I may; are there any contractual issues that are at stake here that could come back to bite your butt?

Good luck.

No issues, and it was actually a very easy decision to make to leave,  but was very difficult to do.

I hear you.

What about your brother?  Obviously your sudden departure has left the band with a hole and if they were ragging the crap out of your brother before, are they petty enough to take it out on him?  Just curious.

We both left. They actually told him that he should leave for some stupid reason. I didn't like that at all I had told them that, so I left.

AJ, good for you.  If they were treating your brother like crap then it's probably just a matter of time before they would do the same to you or a friend.  Life is too short.
