Just stumbled on this pic on a Google Images search for Alembic

Obviously not an Alembic, but I thought some would find this interesting, they even have what seems to be a real logo on this one.

Yes, that's an Alembic.

Wow, I stand corrected then... but that is bizarre... do you know when it was made by any chance.

This guitar was made for Johnny Winter. Here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=2283) is a previous thread with a different picture.
-
From the serial number, 1975. I think it's a beautiful instrument.
-
Wow!
Must be early seventies I guess...
-
ehh mid seventies,
Thanx for that thread!
-
from the flame styled bridge and that cutout in the body and the way the omega body is shaped on this one it just hit me strange for some reason..... yes I feel stooopid ...

I'm pretty sure they do,Mica once said they keep all of their old templates just in case they have to remake something of old or unusual again.
-
I hope they save the template for another ten years...

Thanks for these pictures of my favorite Alembic ever, the Johnny Winter guitar. Now you can see where the inspiration for my Series II bass (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=7139) comes from!
-
Hey Foth your Bass is a f#cking MONSTER!
-
That guitar is just so unbelievably awesome looking.
