Hi,
Looking to have my Series One setup by a Pro with Alembic experience and am new to the area. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Welcome to Southern California! There are probably many qualified techs in L.A. One place for certain that you can't go wrong with is True-Tone music in Santa Monica. It is a wonderful store, with highly qualified instrument techs. Also, there are many threads in this forum offering instruction and support for learning how to do it yourself. For me, it always seemed like a dark and mysterious realm, until I took the leap and just did it. Now it is almost fun to set up my own instruments.

As James mentioned, there are some good sources of info here. Most folks find this thread (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=311) to be helpful.

I found Joey's post on setting up your bass (referred to in Dave's post, above) to be just great. I'd always been leery of monkeying with truss rods, but after a recent string change, I had to take the leap - and it was fun, and fairly easy. My bass plays like a dream again, perfect from top to bottom.

I go to a guy named John Wescott, he does fantastic work on my Spyder and my Spoiler. He's in North Hollywood. You can find him at www.wescottguitar.com (http://www.wescottguitar.com)
Good luck!
