Just curious as I'm keeping my eye out for an older (i.e. more affordable) series bass. I understand that the electronics were upgraded in 1999 or thereabouts to take care of RF noise issues. I also know the earliest series instruments didn't have the modular plugs we see today. But when did that changeover occur? Is there a nice summary of the changes the series electronics have gone through over the years? Thanks.
