for my wedding this fall. It is in Seattle. Anyone have any recommendations? I am sure there are some horror stories out there. Feel free to share them, if so inclined. I hope there are some success stories as well!

Do you want to fly in a band?
I have several bands here in the Bay Area that I mix for or have mixed for. Top Notch Groovers too.
-
I am considering flying in a band. JGB from the bay area. Flights, hotels, equipment, etc add up pretty quick, so I am not sure I can afford that. All options are open at this point though...
Thanks for responding

Jon.
Why not fly in Big Tuna from Scotland? At least there'd be two Alembics on the stage ;-)

Jon:
What was then essentially JGB played at my wedding 5 1/2 years ago. My friend was the guitar player at the time. It was a blast. Melvin is a very nice guy. I sat in with them for a couple of songs. My wife hates this when I say it, but the high point of the wedding for me was when my wife went to thank Melvin and he told her: Hey, your old man can really play! If you can get them, go for it. And congrats on the wedding.
Bill, tgo

thanks Bill. I got 'em if I want 'em (i.e. afford). It has been a pleasure working with his agent Tony. I was considering putting something together with Melvin on my own...Scott Law and my drummer ( who I am very anxious to reveal played the set with Phil at Slim's last month for the benefit) Adam plus some others. I think that may be too complex though. Trust me if I were in the bay, it would be a no-brainer. (Also, Bill I have sent you email)

Kimberly,
I watched your videos a few months ago and some of these as well. Very cool.
If a bass soloist is the way we decided to go, I'll know where to go
-
Hi Phylo,
Thank you very much.
As 'they' say, Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I appreciate your response and if you do decide a bass soloist is the way to go, you really need look no further, (unless you want to import Dino from the east coast). ;)
Best wishes to you and your bride to be.
Kimberly

Isn't Seattle a place with a strong music scene? You would think there are plenty of capable bands in the area.
