Title: On a Quest
Post by: dekazman on May 11, 2007, 06:01:50 PM
Hi y'all - some years ago I ran across an Alembic group on Yahoo groups. It is not the current Alembic Basses 2 site. It was all-Alembic - not bass specific. I was wondering if anyone knew if that group was still active? I tried searching - but no luck. I need to find a chap who lent me a piece of gear - I'd like to get it back to him. Thanks

I was around back then.  I do not think it is still active.  I was in touch with a few members for a while, but I have lost touch.

Check the Message History matrix at the bottom of that page ... Activity on that group was already dwindling (because the forum software was 'upgraded' to a terrible new version) and kind of died when Alembic started this Club around June of 2002.

Wow!!!  I went to the link and experienced big time nostalgia.  A lot of folks who participated in the 1st Yahoo group but did not make the transition to this club.

Peace,

James

I started over there, and recognize some of the folks here who did make the transition!

so...that's a no on the ds-2 and beldin?

I'm curious who else is silly enough to mail alembic gear off with no return expectations.
The guy I sent that stuff too had never heard his guitar stereo, I wonder where he and his guitar are now,it was an early 70's, maybe made for carlos...
