This turns into a funk extravaganza in the second half, w/ the fretless Pedulla.
An act of pure lunacy, no matter how you slice it. I can't believe what went into this thing.

It should load right up.
It's from a longer project. It's a long story....

That is schweeeet...great production value, even through the myspace player. Do you record through Protools? Are those horns sampled?
A fan,
Will

Say, thanks.
I use Sonar -- I never learned to use Apple music software, it just came about that the first stuff I got was for PC.
The horns...the horns...the horns...if you only knew...
They're sampled, except for the horn solo thing in the middle. I put that together. I tried playing the other horns parts, but it would've been a lot of work getting it to sound like the original.

It's about big gaming hunting, with less than competent hunters...think Dick Cheney on his last hunting trip.
A human being is a talking horse
Responds to the lash and the bit
So take a drink from mother nature's corpse
Drown in the milk from her tit
Your life is running down a savage course
Dance through the fiery pit
It's a song we call...The Veldt!
A man of leisure in a linen suit
Crowned by a safari cap
Is looking to defray his naked prey
And indulge his infinite lust
And finally within the secret bay
Drink from the forbidden cup
It's a song we call...The Veldt!
So dropping off your keys with the valet
(He's quite the insufferable punk)
Within the bush we start to flail away
And struggle to aim when we're drunk
Our ladies all will try and wave away
The stink of the elephant funk
It's a song we call...The Veldt!
We chase the pig within the savage brush
And load for the deadly attack
But then the beast will spring and so we'll rush
In every direction at once
We're so damn lucky that we haven't killed
The servants who fix us our lunch
It's a song we call...The Veldt!

Spent the weekend working on this and put up the new version...a nightmare of micro-correction....the groove is pretty solid, though.
