What kind of bass is Mr.Jones playing in that clip?  I've never seen him play anything but the Wal.

Yes, very cool indeed.  Nice job Senny.  I'm still listening to Brand X - Unorthodox Behavior on a regular basis.

Yes it's an Ibanez - he talks about it a little here (http://www.percyjones.net/interview.htm target=_blank), and also in the issue of Bassics Magazine with Rhonda Smith on the cover.

monster groove, funky, melodic and great technique..oh I wish I was that good
Badrena is a great percussionist too, he was Joe Zawinul's first choice and his good friend

Badrena is so cool and Zawinul was one of the greatest

I read a funny story somewhere about the time Percy Jones met Jaco. Percy was teaching bass in the US. He left the building that he was using for a while and on returning heard his distinctive WAL fretless bass being played by an absolute monster player! He walked into the room and there was Jaco totally ripping it up!

Jaco stopped, looked at Percy and said hey man, great axe! Apparantly Kenwood Dennard had told Jaco all about Percy, Jaco heard he was in town and simply popped in to check him out! I think that must have been a great scene, and typical of Mr Pastorius!
