Title: Hep a bruddah out!
Post by: dannobasso on October 01, 2009, 04:39:26 PM
I'm not normally one to ask for this sort of thing but I'd like to go to NAMM next January for free. So if you could spare a minute or two, please cast a vote for my entry so I can save some cash for my bass under construction. And you're right, I'm not a lefty!

You have my vote. Does this mean you will share the Genz Benz Shuttle with me? :-D

You can have it alternate Wednesdays with any month with an R in it.  I'll even throw in a lesson for those in the house who want your stuff. Should I start with Joan Bayez tunes?

I don't think Joan Baez would be dark enough music for the target student. :-)

Green Manalishi might work! But I guess it would have to be the Priest version.

I need another dozen votes or so to close this thing. If those of you who have not been to the site, would generously vote for my entry I would be ever so grateful. Thank you again for your time and help. And a special thanks to those who already voted.

Even though I registered specifically to vote for you, I gave everyone a listen.  Had I gone in cold, you still would have my vote.

Very humbly, I Thank you all. Almost there, the deadline is Saturday. At least in my submission you can look at a few more Alembics in the background! That must count for something.

Thank you all very much. Its currently at 94 at 9:28 pm est. I think there will be a rehearsal day and a set at the Hilton at night. If any GD tunes are in the set (if I win) I'll ask for pointers and advice here. That also goes for Bar Kays, Weavers, Jonas Bros., whatever I haven't come across since 1978.

This is a truly wonderful community and I do appreciate it.

I came in second to a guy who has 80 less votes than me playing a fender and covering Jaco. Go figure. Thanks for giving me your votes and your precious time. At least the school I work at can use the Schector bass.

Cool!  Getting a bass for the school is a nice outcome!
