Way to show off that slappin' thumb! Alembics are very good for convalescence- they heal your mind AND body.

Heal up soon!

Guys,I want to thank you from the bottom of my (repaired) heart for your thoughts and prayers during a rather scary week.I'm home and doing well.I'm very tired and 'spontaneously emotional' but I feel good.I do believe that your positive vibes are a big part of that and though I didn't have an Alembic to come home to at least I got to come home!.
My thanks to Steve Penn (Big Steve) for keeping everyone informed and once again thanks guys, you're the best!! x

Simon,
Glad that you're back home again. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery on that road to another Alembic. Thanks to Steve for the updates.
All the best, Art

I'd like to take a moment to inform you of an incredible kindness that has been bestowed on me.I'd expressed to a friend that when I got out of hospital and when my situation improved I'd appreciate his help in obtaining a reasonably priced fretless bass.He uses eBay a lot and said he'd have a look at what was available.I have neither paypal or even a credit card and his help would be much appreciated.
A couple of hours ago he turned up at my house with two very dear friends along with an as new Yamaha BB614 fretless.I don't have a full list of names yet but several of my friends have chipped in and bought it for me.It sounds fantastic,I can't stop playing it and I'm rather overwhelmed emotionally.I don't know what I did to deserve such a beautiful gesture,or the kind wishes of all you guys who sent messages of support.I feel truly blessed by both and just wanted to acknowledge my deepest appreciation of my friends both here at home and here on this site.I am officially the luckiest man alive!.
