Title: RIP Pete Quaife
Post by: jacko on June 29, 2010, 04:37:05 AM
pete Quaife, bass player with the kinks died recently.  obit (http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/jun/25/pete-quaife-obituary).
The quintessential 'English' rock band of the 60's, the kinks have been on my playlist for near enough 40 years. (longer if you count listening to my brother's radio). They were also the first band I took my wife-to-be to see in the late 70's (with Jim Rodford on bass I believe). pete has been out of the music industry for many years but his contribution to the music of the kinks can't be understated.

I love the Kinks.  My band regularly plays Apeman.
