Two of my favorites, thanks, Dave!

Wow! This is beautiful!
Eva Cassidy - over the rainbow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUwTdqPkluY)

These clips are from a concert (Rockpalast, organized from a German TV) in Germany from 1981. I think it was the only one in Europe. The songs are listed here:

Here's Wharf Rat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlvd3GBmbNU&feature=PlayList&p=AE7AFC89B93D3CFD&index=18) with Pete Townshend. Weird to see Townshend playing a Weir guitar: Presumably the Who's equipment had left the building by this time.
Harald; they played four shows at the Rainbow in London before the Rockpalast.

I read this quickly, clicked on a link, and expected to see the Dead doing Cassidy into a jam, and then into Over the Rainbow (WOW - the Dead doing the Wizard of Owsley!!??) What a difference 3 letters make! lol
Bill, tgo

Wizard of Owsley - nice! I saw a button in a car for Auto LSD. I got all excited then found out it meant limited slip differential.

Olie; to set her performance in perspective, read this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eva_Cassidy).
-
David,
Perspective?.... That brought a tear to my eye.
What a beautiful voice.
-
Me too. Especially the part about her choice for the last song at the last show.
-
Yea that's a bad deal man. I pray that NOBODY should ever be faced with or deal with cancer. My mom and dad both died from cancer. My mom was only 54 too.

I'm thoroughly enjoying those Deutsche Rockpalast clips...thanks guys!
Some have great close-ups of Jerry's fingering. You can even see Lesh go to town on that Irwin tiger-style (nee' Tribute) bass. Not too much footage is available with that one, other than the Dead Ahead video chronicling the Dead's historic fall '80 Radio City run. I don't think Lesh played that bass at all much past '81.
Prost!

Harry Chapin live at Rockplast is one to see,
Harry's guitar player and bass player play Alembic's, but the show is great on it's own
if your a Chapin fan

Dave, I wanted to thank you for turning me on to Eva Cassidy via this thread. This girl can sing man. You need to check out some of her blues work. WOW!
I only wish she were still here.
Thanks again Dave,
