Title: What I did on my summer vacation

Some months ago I asked for the club's input on a how to spend my vacation this summer on the bike.  I think most of you settled on Alaska, and I made some plans in that direction.  Well, fate intervened and I did something else instead.
 
Posted on two different sites.  Report is the same, but the comments differ.  Choose whichever one suits your fancy..

Thanks for posting these here John. I've read through them each time and it makes me want to pack up and go!!
 
I did quite a bit of mtn bike camping and touring on my road bike and there is nothing quite like it.

The motorcycle has done wonders for my soul, in many ways that playing bass does, and in many ways that it doesn't.  The riders among you understand this well.
