Hey gang, My SC deluxe is my #1, but my Bee 7-string is my #2. This club seems pretty good at wood identification, so I figured (pardon the pun) I'd ask for some help identifying the top wood on the Bee. Thanks in advance for your info!

My guess would be burl redwood, but the last picture makes me consider burl walnut as a very probable option.

Im 99% sure that top is Burl Walnut! I used to own a handbuilt bass with a figured top that was almost identical and it was most definitely burl Walnut
Nice bass, looks great! Bet it has a sweet tone!

Thank you kindly! Yep, the tone is pretty cool...180 degrees opposite the Alembic tone (real midsy and dark, with lots of quack). It also has piezo's, which increases the tonic compexity by leaps and bounds.

I would ask the luthier... (http://www.beebasses.com/html/contact.html target=_blank)
There are a lot of burls that look similar. It's hard to tell from a picture.
