A wonderful friend, colleague and musician passed away last night.  Tom Rogers, harmonica player extraordinaire, played with Big Al Downing for a good part of his career. You will be greatly missed, RIP my friend!

Art -
A wonderful friend is a gift, it is sad when they leave.

My best to you and Tom's other friends.

Sorry for your loss.

Seeing Big Al Downing's name took me by surprise. About 10 years ago I played some bass lines on an album of Christmas songs that had Big Al on it. I didn't actually play at the same time as Big Al but I did the bass line...

I know you enjoyed playing with him; and if I recall correctly, you introduced me to him at a club one night about a year ago.
