Anyone tried one of these or have an opinion?

Lol. I remember those. That was back when Trace-Eliot was the sound. I don't think that sound has aged very well -- when you hear it, it's very much of its time, very late 80s/early 90s.

Oh yes a blast from the past they are, I had the Trace AH600(or was it a 1000) 15 cab, 4x10 cab and one of those on the top.
The sound of 80's bass, combined with an Arai SB or JD are you can imitate Duran Duran and Level 42 to your hearts content
