Mesa boogie Power house cabs. 1 x 15, 4 x 10 and 2 x 10
I tried adding a two channel compressor limiter in the back between the F1-x outputs and the QSC inputs but it was really hissy so out it went.
 
I haven't had an excuse to take the whole rig out for a gig yet.

The JBL K140's don't really get used anymore but I just can't part with them. They are all I have left of my 70's/80's rig that consisted of two Acoustic 301's driven by a 370 head and these driven by a Yamaha head.

  No amp!!!  I run the Boss ME-50B into the SansAmp Bass Driver and run direct.  I get my stage volume via the side fills. Theoretically, I hear what the audience hears.

Seriously, though, I would be curious to hear what that rig sounded like with the speakers stacked more vertically, especially the subs. I bet the dispersion would be much better controlled. Nice rig!

there's a Krammer DMZ 6000 and the bc looking bass is a 1980 Krammer XL8 8 string, both are VERY LOUD basses, and sound like electric butter thru the 73 ampeg b 15 or the 79 Fender studio bass(http://club.alembic.com/Images/449/104035.jpg)

However I've decided that it's getting too complicated running 2 pre-amps so I'm thinking of ditching the amps and buying the new EBS TD660 to replace them and simplify things a bit.

Boy, everybody's rigs look so squeaky clean! Here's mine in all its road worn glory. F2B, SF2, Eventide Eclipse, Crown XTi4000 and fEARful 15/6/1. Hopefully in the next week or so, I'll be adding a fEARful 12/6/1, what with some outdoor gigs coming up.

Hi jazzy - longish story...
I was running an Eden navigator preamp and had one 212 and a 410 but I was struggling to get to grips with the navigator - too many knobs - so I replaced it with the Fender TBP1. This pre gives a really nice round PHAT bottom end but the top end always sounded a bit harsh to me. Round about 18 months ago we started playing Muse's Hysteria which has a pretty distorted bass line that I had no end of trouble replicating - tried all sorts of pedals - Big Muff, danelectro and so on. On a whim i tried out a mate's Ampeg SVP and found that turning the overdrive past around 7 gave the perfect tone. However, the ampeg didn't give the nice bottom end I liked so I kept the fender and split the input signal with a silverblade HX3 from thomann. This worked fine with the old Cabinet configuration, putting the ampeg through the 410. Around a year ago I decided that it was alot easier to lift a 212 cab so I bought a second 212 to replace the 410 (still have it for my practice room though).
 
So, that brings us up to around 3 weeks ago. playing a gig recently I was intermittently losing signal from the fender which turned out to be just a loose cable from the pre to the power. Then last saturday, the power amp overheating protection kicked in for a moment and switched the amp off to cool down. It restarted immediately but left me without sound for around 10 seconds which is a lifetime to a bass player ;-)  So.... last night I started fiddling around removing each preamp in turn and I've decided that I really like the fender tone through the 212's - maybe it was the 410 that was causing the harshness -  so I'm going to try some gigs without the ampeg. We don't play Hysteria that often so I figure It's better to have a simpler setup and just get a slight overdriven sound with my EBS multidrive pedal.
Hopefully the new setup will work out. If not, I've got my eye on the new EBS TD660 head. It's an upgrade to the TD650 with the benefit of having footswitchable muting, drive and effects.  
 
And Edwin - You can't see it in the pics but the EBS cabs are carpet covered and I have a Cat. They're pretty raggedy round the edges ;-)

Ok, I'll play. At 45 and a broken neck, back, both feet crushed (1 re-built) and electrocution to my tally, I sold my Mesa fridge RR 1516BE/2-15 set-up and went back to a RR 1-15/2-10 set with my Mesa 400+. The Goddess smiled on me and delivered a Mesa RR 4-10 with stock Eden speakers, serious old school mojo. I run the 400+ with a Aphex 204 and Behringer model MDX 1200 and a Furman M-8D clearing the way. So, cabinet wise, I have the RR version of jazzyvee's rig and I too have yet to need them all for a single gig. It is nice to be able to taylor your set-up to the room you're in. I have the Mesa Venture as my practice/small gig amp. I found the 2-10 version to be better all around than her 2-12 sister. My computer took this picture; not great quality, but you get the basic idea.  It's never been out of the house, but it's what I practice through every day; you can really hear the mistakes.  You can also really hear how beautiful an Alembic can sound.

OK, update to my rig. I finished the top cabinet last Thursday at 11PM. By 11AM on Friday I was off to the grand reopening of the State Bridge Amphitheater where my rig was the house rig for 4 days of festival. I got to headline Friday and Saturday, played an acoustic set Monday and sit in with my old band, Great American Taxi, on Sunday night. I also multitracked the whole festival (multitasked!). It was a great time all around with a wide variety of excellent music, ranging from acoustic chamber Americana to reggae, funk, rock and electronica (which seems ubiquitous at this point).  My rig handled raging 5 string electrics and upright basses with equal aplomb. It was great to hear it from out front and I had a couple bands use my new Series I to hear what sounded like out front. It was fun to watch people unaccustomed to Alembics start out with it, trying to dig in to the low end like they were used to before they realized the huge dynamic range available and that there's no need to overplay the bass to get impact and there's so many tones available by just varying touch. It was a such a pleasure to play through this rig in conjunction with the PA that was there and the excellent sound guy that we had. The Alembic provided a bottom that none of the other basses had.

And now for something completely different: I'm
writing with a question.  
 
Here's the context: I gave up the GK800rb and two Ampeg cabinets when I stopped playing out regularly in a cover band (SugarDaddy). Now I play Contemporary Christian music at church through the PA and use a GK 400rb and Dr Bass 2x10 as my onstage monitor.
 
I actually play light, mostly fingerstyle (on my Persuader Vector with a single P-bass type pickup) and the music director and I differ on bass sound; he wants more upper mids to cut through and I like bottom. We do it his way.
 
My home rig - and what I'll use for whatever gigs may be ahead of me (probably in a three or four-piece low-volume/small venue group) - consists of a Markbass Little Mark II and Acme LowB1, Series II - and Klotz cable because it makes a difference.

The Question: Any suggestions on a single relatively low-cost addition to add a bit of hair to my sound?  
 
I'm going to pull the BBE Sonic Stomp from my guitar pedal board and use it at practice tomorrow night, but I'm thinking about SansAmp or other small pedals or even a multi-effect pedal setup. I love having a very compact and lightweight but powerful rig so would rather avoid adding a rack case, even though what I've heard through and about the SansAmp RBI is enticing ... and if I had a multieffect rig that sounded good, I'm sure I would play with the possibilities.

I'm about at the point where I get up and wander the house for an hour at about the same time of night/morning that I used to go out for breakfast after the gig, the load out, and the after hours place.  
 
The old routine was more fun in some ways, but this time of life is better in so many ways.

On the subject of SansAmp, you might want to run a site search; there have many threads that have talked about them, and you might run across just the information you're looking for.  The only SansAmp I'm familiar with is the PSA-1, which is rack mount.

Whenever I see a rig with an extremely hi-fi cabinet like an Acme, and the question is the one you've asked, I often wonder IF you substituted a (fill-in the blank here for your favorite very-average-sounding, el-cheapo bass cabinet), would that do the trick?
 
I've often found myself over the years continually torn between a preamp/power amp/serious cabinet rig (great depth, but too clean) and the usual-suspects bass head / average cabinet (nice tone at moderate gain, but no steam if I've gotta put the hammer down).
 
If you know any other BP's, you might inquire about borrowing a single 15, etc., old-school without the horn or really first-rate speakers, and see what happens.  Then park the Klotz, and use a molded Hosa guitar cable . . . . oh yeah, THAT'LL do it . . . .
 
BTW, welcome !  We don't see a lot of single-pickup Persuaders.

Sounds great, speakers weight plenty but the head is only like five pounds (a bit over 2 kg for my metric friends).  Sounds great to my ears, with plenty of power.
