I saw this last month when it was available for rental as a preview on my iPad. Well worth seeing if you know anything about the Pranksters, Neal Cassidy, the 60's, etc. Though it's advertised as also starring the Dead, they really have little screen time and it's mostly just in the background.

Thanks Wolf! The trailer looks intriguing; I would love to see it. It's coming to Asheville a month from now. Marking my calendar.

Hope it makes it across the pond.

Graeme; if not, you can apparently download it, or stream it, online for $10 2-day rental from Amazon.

Thanks Dave. I'll see what I can do. I have a 'thing' for this era of American history despite growing up in the wrong country and 10 years to late to really appreciate it.

I am looking forward to seeing this. Years ago I bought The Merry Pranksters Look For A Cool Place, Pt. 1 from Key-Z.com. Yes, it's all blurry and weirdly edited, but fun anyway. But this film ought to be an improvement...

Saw this movie a while ago Through Comcast. Really worth a watch, but it was done through the History channel with some voice actors. Not a bad thing, but it would have been nice just to enjoy the original footage, weird as it is. The Dead have a disappointingly short appearance, but its still really cool to see them so early on. Hoping the DVD will have some good extras.
Its basically the movie version of Tom Wolfe's Electric Kool-Aid Acid Tests and less of the Movie that it set out to be.
