I would first like to say that I am thankful for God's many Blessings and Grace.
I had a colonoscopy a couple of weeks ago and the doctors discovered 5 pre-cancerous polyps. 4 of the 5 removed immediately. The last polyp, because of its carpeted shape and size, requires a surgical procedure called Laparoscopic Colorectal surgery with a Right Hemicolectomy to be done. This is medical speak meaning about a foot of the right side of my large intestine will be removed. The surgery is scheduled on the 15th of this month.
I am posting this not for sympathy, but to rejoice in God's Blessing in allowing us to catch this in time before cancer had taken hold. Please keep us in your prayers and thank you for allowing me to share this Blessing of discovery.

I will certainly lift up prayer requests for you and your family this holiday season. Both my father and father-in-law had similar events occur this year and both are doing great post surgery/recovery. Regular check-ups with your physician are so important. I took them for granted until this year.... Never again.
-
I will put prayer requests in for you at my Temple, in my daily meditations and have empathy for you at this time. Remember to be good to yourself, the mind can really help the body heal.

Bill:
My friend who plays bass in my band and with whom I've been playing for 25+ years had a similar situation last year except his had become cancerous. He came through fine, didn't even need chemo or radiation. His comment after the surgery was that it was a helluva way to lose some weight! Good luck and best vibes going in your direction.

Wishing you all the best, Bill!

Thank you, everyone for your responses. It's kind of funny, how much I took for granted without knowing it. Your kind words of encouragement are heartfelt and will not be forgotten. I appreciate the sharing of past experiences of others too. That does help. I feel I have to give the appearance of strength before my family members and it's cool to show my nervousness of the situation. I will keep positive vibes going out to the universe and welcome all that is returned.

Bill; I've been thinking of you and your situation this evening; and holding you in my heart.

Bill, you'll do fine. these laparoscopic procedures are pretty straightforward. You'll be up and around in no time. Best wishes.

Bill, all my best to you. For what it's worth, I always find that going to the NASA website and contemplating Hubble Space Telescope images to bring a tremendous sense of comfort, joy and awe at the same time. May the Universe continue to smile upon you and your family.
