Hi all,
Last year I bought an old Rickenbacker lap steel guitar from Jorma.
It has an old piece of masking tape that somebody stuck on to remember where they are, and I want to remove it. It's stuck on there pretty good, and has been there a long time. Obviously I would like to leave the paint and what's left of the finish intact.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Try methylated spirit, it will not soften the paint like thinners or alternatively white spirit(I guess it is a cellulose finish)

Thanks, Terry. Looks like a trip to Home Depot (Homey De Pot?) is in my future.
