Today is July 14, 2012, 100 years from the birth of Woody Guthrie.  Here is some video of Guthrie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0Fia1blM4M) with Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee.  Woody died in 1967.  A major influence in music and in American culture, perhaps one example of his importance is his influence on a young Bob Dylan.  Happy birthday Woody; and thank you.

Also an influence on Ramblin' Jack Elliot.  And, of course on  my guitar (http://www.alembic.com/info/fc_woody.html).
