Title: Alembic guitar skylark question
Post by: tdiddy on May 16, 2008, 10:07:23 PM
So, I'm the proud new owner of a skylark.  Couple questions:

* what strings are the ideal for this.  I was thinking DR 10s, or D'Addario Chrome Flatwound Jazz Light (11s).  What do y'all think?

* on electronics, which cavity do I open to tweak the pots.  I heard there are pots to tweak on the inside, but am not sure what these do.

Thanks!  I love my Alembic.  Jeez - I am already selling my other guitars :D

Hi Tdiddy and welcome to the club.  Glad you like your Skylark.   Here's (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=277) a pic of the Skylark' electronics.

Congrats and welcome!  In addition to the picture Mark referenced, there is an explanation of the trim pots here (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=278).

Woot Woot -- another Skylark owner! Welcome! FWIW, I'm using Elixir Nanoweb 10's and love them.

I almost feel sorry for your other guitars ....
