Title: Xander update and thanks for the positive thoughts
Post by: edwin on May 10, 2013, 11:57:34 AM
Hi all!
Xander turns 11 months today. As I think about his life with us so far, I can't help but have gratitude for everyone here and all your support over the last year. He's crawling, pulling to stand up, passing a ball back and forth, jamming in his own way on my bass (the Modulus, it's indestructible), babbling away with some objects having clearly repeated words, he's said his own name, he dances when he hears music, loves being outside, has a great appetite for curry, garlic and other flavorful foods and is smiling and laughing most of the day. He's definitely one of the most joyous people I've ever spent time with. He's curious, compassionate and very affectionate.

Thanks for being one the best communities I know.

Oh, yes, for those of you with an iPhone, in celebration of his awesomeness, I've uploaded Xandertone, a ringtone that can be found in iTunes on your phone (for some reason it doesn't show up in the main iTunes). I smile every time I get a phone call.

Great picture!  But my money is on Xander to inflict damage on that Modulus.  Nothing is kid proof.  Not that I am wishing for that. He would just be doing his job!

May you have many years of joy and delirium (at least until he becomes a teenager, then all bets are off)!

Filthy lucre!

We're hoping the ringtone goes viral, but they seem really hard to promote without being able to have a link.

Well, if the ringtone does go viral, take all the money & put it in a college fund......or an Alembic fund for Xander!

Being in college, I second the Alembic fund. Some things wear better than others.

Congrats Edwin, and happy birthday Xander!

Digging the hair!  Ollie's 8 mos, and he's still pretty much a cueball.  Xander looks more like a 2yo - w/70yo eyes.  Intense little dude!

WARNING:  He's certainly cute now, but in about 12 years he's going to turn into a TEENAGER!!!!!  (Mine's 18 - don't ask!)

Deep breaths, Bill - with or without enhancement.  They do recover; mine are 36, 31, & 28, and they're all human again.
