I've got a couple EF's that I like?namely the EHX Q-Tron and the Moog LPF/EF. I've made a small travel pedalboard that I'd like to put an envelope filter on, though the real estate is limited. I don't like the Micro Q-Tron. MXR doesn't make the EF for guitar anymore. I'm tempted to try the new MXR Bass EF. Has anyone ever tried a Bass envelope filter with a guitar? If not, any speculation as to whether or not it would sound any good?

I only use one pedal and it's an Aguilar Filter Twin Dual EF and it's great for bass.

Check out a 3 Leaf Audio Proton. A great place to look for pedals is......

The Pigtronix Envelope Phaser is pretty cool sounding, but fairly large. Good for guitar and bass though.

I have a Proton and it's pretty good. The guitar player I play with also uses one.
I am thinking of letting it go as 11 envelope filters may be too many and my GR2 gets most of the action, followed by the Univox Funky Filter.
But a filter is a filter and it shouldn't matter too much if it was designed for bass or guitar.
