How do the tips hold up on an Omega - Heart cutout?

They are delicate - never set a bass or guitar with a carved out Omega directly on the Omega tips - always use a proper stand.

Some people never break one off - others are repeat offenders. It's all in the handling.

As your attorney I advise you to never carry your Omega cut-out bass in a gig bag.

BEst solution is to keep it in a hard shell case when not being played.

Elwood,

I don't think that he ever worked for Mr. Thompson, but if I remember correctly, he did break an omega tip (in a gig bag).

Mine stays in the case.  I would weep.

I've dropped my triple omega once from a very short distance onto the bottom omega cutout.  Only some very minor scars on the finish.  I consider myself lucky.  It travels in the Alembic supplied hardcase when it goes to gigs.

As your attorney I advise you rent a fast car with no top...

I hate to say this, but this place is getting to me. I think I'm getting the fear.

sorry about going off-topic but the Fear and Loathing quotes are giving me flashbacks! :-D
