Check out this slap solo on a 5 string that is strung upside down, so the B string is on the bottom of the neck & the G is on top. Despite the fact that his thumb should naturally be slapping the top B or E string & plucking the bottom G string, he manages to turn his technique upside down & slap the bottom string then jump up to the top string to pluck!

Dang!
Larry Williams has some mad skills!
:-D

Yes he does! I never could understand how left handed players can play with their instruments strung upside down, but I guess if that is the way they learned it feels natural to them.
-
I think he's doing the double-thump technique - using his thumb kind of like a pick - impressive, especially the quick swats at the G string!

I just showed this to Xander and he said the bass player is a wild minimac! (I told Xander he was a wild maniac and he declared I am a wild minimac!).

Too cute! Minimac, is that what Steve Jobs had in mind when he created the iPhone?
