All:
I'm taking a last minute trip to the Calistoga CA area. Any recommendations on music shops, really good wineries, sights I should not miss seeing? Currently on the schedule are oysters, many wineries, trying to spot some whales, and redwoods.
I've already been to the Mothership. I've got Thursday evening and all day Friday & Saturday.
Thanks in advance.

Old Faithful Geyser and Petrified Forest are interesting.

My wife and daughter were in Calistoga for one day just after Christmas. My daughter allowed my wife one wine tasting session. She chose Vermeil Winery and ended up spending two hours there, joined the wine club and purchased 7 bottles on the spot. Sounds like it is a cool place and the people are very friendly.
Have Fun!

If you head south on 29 to St. Helena, you might want to check out
Napa Valley Olive Oil Mfg Company
835 Charter Oak Ave
Saint Helena, CA 94574
It looks like an old white barn. Inside is a wonderful old country Italian deli. Think big barrels of porcini mushrooms, cheeses and salamis hanging from the ceiling, all kinds of stuff imported from Italy. It's family run for over 40 years. On any given day it is run by either the women or the men, I don't think I've ever seen a mixture! Also the restaurant at the corner of 29 and Charter Oak Ave., Tre Vigne, is quite good.
If you like gambling, just over Mt. St. Helena and a couple of miles more is Twin Pine Casino. Nice friendly people and they play 60's and 70's music while you gamble.

My wife and I have been going to Calistoga almost annually for a number of years. While not a winery, you should definitely check out Calistoga Wine Stop, located in the old train car Calistoga Depot building (1458 Lincoln Ave). Tom Pelter, the owner, specializes in small but exceptional California wineries although he carries the larger top California wines as well, and will ship nationally and internationally. A great place and a good friend.
