Wow, nice stuff! Thanks!

Wow indeed. I can't watch it tonight, but will save the link for later. Thanks!!

I stayed up late last night and watched the first set. Wonderful!

Jerry is irreplaceable, but I think Bill gets the vibe of this music better than anybody. He just needs an Alembic!

Bill is a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of talking with him at Hornings SCI shows. We talked about building him a modern pedal board switching system after I watched him pull every pedal out of his gym bag and proceed to chain them together.
Yes, indeed. sweet vibe.

This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcQtZeNSyY4) shows some of his pedals and hints at how he gets some of the effects he was using in the Phil and Friends performance.

I used to see him play every Saturday afternoon at the 1369 Club in Cambridge MA in the early 80s. Most people in there for an afternoon drink ignored him, but it was amazing.

Bill is amazing? so great to hear him with Phil.
I was very fortunate to be able to tour and record an album with him many years ago. It was called Bill Frisell and The Willies. It was right around the time he was really diving into country music.
It was slightly awkward when we played in England, because willie means ?. something else. We were doing a fancy gig at Barbacon Hall in London and he told the audience in his quiet, stammering manner we changed the name of the band?.. we're now called?. penis

Great story!
What a treat to play with Bill. I'm going to have to find that album.

Here are The Willies (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skw_oyYel0I) at North Sea Jazz in '99.
