Just finished up another World Tour with Fleetwood Mac, and working on his 70th trip 'round the sun.

Happy Birthday . Standing up straight and playing a bass is a most noteworthy blessing for ones 70th year ! In front of such a Rig , a double blessing . .

Wow, I didn't know he survived colon cancer until now (his appearance hinted at some health problem, so I looked him up on Wikipedia). I'm glad he's still on this side of the grass, if y'knowm sayin'.
Christine wrote Don't Stop for John, y'know. It appears he heard her.
I've always loved the fact that Fleetwood Mac was named for the rhythm section. As a fan since the Peter Green (and Jeremy Spencer) days, I think the band thrived - and survived - because of their consistency, especially during their most chaotic time.
John McVie is one of my favorite bassists of all time, because he always understood the FUNCTION of bass in service to the arrangement, something I'm still working on.
